Hello, wonderful community! 👋 I’m a counsellor based in Cheltenham, and as someone who also lives with ADHD, I understand firsthand the challenges many face when it comes to obtaining a diagnosis. With the rising number of ADHD diagnoses in the UK, it's disheartening to know that the wait for an NHS assessment can stretch up to four years! ⏳
For many parents and individuals who suspect ADHD, waiting is not an option. You want answers, and you want them now. However, the average cost for an ADHD assessment can be quite steep—around £1200 for adults and £1800 for children. 💸
That’s why I’m pleased to share a more accessible option! I recently connected with ADHD Certify, who offers adult assessments for £495 and £795 for children. And here’s the cherry on top: I have a discount code for my clients, giving you an additional £25 off your assessment. (Just a heads up, I’ll receive a small commission too, but my priority is to ensure you get the support you need!)
ADHD Certify has garnered positive reviews on Trustpilot, and I'm keeping a close eye on their feedback to ensure they're a trustworthy choice among the more expensive alternatives. From what I’ve seen, many assessments likely utilise standardised tests, so it’s reassuring to know that professional oversight is part of the process. ✅
If you or someone you know is considering an assessment, let’s talk about it! It’s time to break the stigma and make the journey to understanding ADHD a little easier. 💪💙

Just in case anyone sees and is looking for an ADHD assessment, I notice they (ADHD certify) are offering their own code of £100 off during October, for ADHD month - so if you are looking for an assessment probably about as cheap as you will find. Again, I like to point out, you don't always need a formal diagnosis, I for instance have no interest in a formal diagnosis, as I do not want ADHD meds, and already know I have ADHD. It will be different for everyone though. I am planning to do a course around ADHD, and have started a page on this website: https://www.therapy-with-ben.co.uk/about-9
